Job Description & Summary

A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You'll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.

Our Financial Analysis and Reporting team is responsible for managing PwC's financial risk through financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and tactical consulting. As part of the team, you'll help with budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting, shared services and financing.

The External Reporting Team are the custodians of all statutory and group reporting requirements.
Working with a cross functional team to ensure all activities are completed on time and according to approved process, ensures adherence of the function to PwC approved accounting principles, established procedures, departmental guidelines, and regulatory requirements applicable to the work.

Finance
- Supporting the External Reporting Team in the delivery of group and statutory reporting requirements
- Working with the Lines of Service ('LoS')/business to ensure correct and consistent application of accounting principals
- Assisting in the preparation of regional statutory accounts
- Dealing with statutory and group reporting requirements and deadlines in an efficient manner

Customer
- Develop a good understanding of commercial activities within each LoS and Territories within the Middle East ('ME')
- Responsible for the proactive delivery of statutory and group reporting across the ME practice, reporting to the Head of External Reporting and responding to management requests

Internal Process
- Ensure adherence to PwC approved accounting standards and principles; ensure maintenance of proper audit trails and verification and reconciliation actions for all statutory work
- Display and encourage a culture of strong financial discipline around group and statutory reporting and ensuring compliance with Firm/LoS policies and procedures

Learning & Growth
- Responsible for the continuing professional development of self and other team members

Requirements

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
- ACCA, CPA or similar certification required

Language
- Fluency in written and spoken English required, proficiency in Arabic would be an advantage

Overall Experience
- Experience in Finance / Accounting service delivery would be an advantage
Technical Skills
- Good financial, analytical and accounting skills
- Excellent level of accuracy to a high level of detail
- Excellent calculation and analytical skills
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- An understanding of accounting standards and practices
