Project Cost Controller

Job description / Role

The project cost controller is responsible for handling the estimation and cost control as well as the tendering process, after contract award phase of construction projects and until project completion

Key Accountabilities
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, with the relevant parties
- Analyse bids, build up unit rates and finalize tenders
- Evaluate variation orders, extra works and assist in budget preparation
- Prepare cost analysis of different work items in Fit Out Construction and ensure the sharp estimation of finishing and fit out projects
- Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks
- Attend pre-tender meetings, render periodic reports and provide pre-tender and post-tender evaluation of budgets
- Investigate project sites for estimating purposes and validation of estimation assumptions
- Establish a CAPEX database for each brand by location and country
- Ensure proper cost control and budget development of projects
- Carry out functional supervisory responsibilities that include planning and assigning tasks, setting deadlines, monitoring results and quality, providing training and relaying team's request to hierarchy

Requirements

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge

- Proficiency in MS Office, Project Scheduling Software (MS Project or other) and AutoCAD
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 5 years of experience
