Principal Accountabilities
• Monitor and analyze local and international media (conventional, unconventional) related to economic, political, social, and business / industry development
• Draft contextual information materials, such as datasheets, background notes, economic profiles of relevance to Multiply Research & Consultancy projects; Manage data and insights to ensure its accessibility by other team members (when/if needed) and utility
• Produce accurate and timely analysis, reports, video scripts, infographic content, papers, newsletters, and other types of deliverables that support the on-going projects handled by the department
• Develop and edit materials, including writing short articles, blog’s content and video clips to be published on the company website, Social media as well as printed materials including profile
• Monitor, identify, and analyze economic, social, and business/ commercial developments, trends and emerging issues in relevant geographic areas, industries and thematic perspectives. Work closely with management on analytical research and business related projects.
• Participate in the development and execution of the division business development strategy to identify business opportunities based on market intelligence and insights, and face to face meeting with clients
• Conduct full scope of market research activities inclusive of conducting primary and secondary research to collect market and industry related data and insights and support management in market studies and business consultancies.
• Conduct secondary research on political processes and policies
• Conduct secondary research on topics, such as public opinion, political decision-making, and ideology.
• Conduct secondary research and monitor resources that provide critical information on political issues
• Conduct public opinion surveys, analyze election results
• Assist in raising public awareness of important political and social issues
• Assist in studying the origin, development, and operation of political systems
• Consult with and advise government officials, civic bodies, research agencies, the media, political parties, and others concerned with political issues when needed.
• Conduct research, both independently and collaboratively
• Analyze the structure and operation of governments, as well as various political entities.
• Analyze policies and their implications on social, economic angles
• Assist in predicting political, social, and economic trends; and evaluate the cultures, values, and political ideologies of foreign governments
• Conduct secondary research in various areas mainly social studies related to social development and undertaking different perspectives as education, health, social welfare, social and national identity, unemployment, gender, social policies, among others.
• Conduct primary research related to specific research projects when needed
• Monitor at national, regional and global level all public and private sectors related initiatives and policies
• Monitor national and regional news (conventional & Social Media) related to areas of research and management’s interests
• Read and summarize books about social studies, general knowledge and any topics of interest as per management requirements
• Develop top line findings reports, infographics and other types of deliverables
• Participate in videos (documentaries) script writing and follow up on execution with production and post-production team
• Present internally various reports, articles, book summaries, and research findings as required

Requirements

E. Educational Qualifications, Qualifications & Experience
• B.S. in Business Administration - Political Science, Economics, Social Science or Public Administration
• 2-6 years working experience
• Good command in speaking, reading and writing of English & Arabic languages
