Senior IT Internal Audit Specialist

Job description / Role

The Senior IT Internal Audit Specialist is responsible for fulfilling the IT internal audit plan by leading and executing complex IT internal audit assignments and ensuring the work is carried out with professional care and in accordance with international technical/IT standards, and in compliance with laws and regulations

Key Accountabilities

- Participate in the preparation of the annual IT audit plan and periodic risk assessment
- Collaborate with management and relevant teams to ensure proper field work audits are conducted, that documentation supports the findings and all major company risks are identified and analyzed
- Execute complete audit planning, fieldwork and reporting for information technology, information security, system and integrated audit engagements; assess business / technology risks and the related controls and then provide practical, value-added remediation plans
- Review information technology processes across the company for efficiency, effectiveness, and adequacy of controls as well as monitor compliance with company policies, procedures, regulations and standards (ie. IIA and ISACA)
- Make recommendations on systems/procedures being audited or reviewed, report the findings and follow-up on the managements response within the set time frame
- Pursue professional development opportunities and keep abreast of the latest IT risk and control topics to facilitate information sharing and satisfy business needs
- Participate in the initial meetings with external auditors to understand terms of IT audit engagements and assist in facilitating their fieldwork in the company

Requirements

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge

- 4 to 6 years of experience in a related field
- Fluency in English
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong knowledge in ERP and Operating Systems
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science or related field.
- Professional qualification is a must (i.e. CIA, CISA, CISM, CISSP), Master's or other qualifications (CMA,CFE etc.) are a major plus
