Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are looking for a Social Media Director who will spearhead the social media team and craft strategic frameworks that align to clients' organizational and marketing goals whilst being mindful of client values and mission.

This role includes the following responsibilities:

• Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification
• Generate, edit, publish and share daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
• Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
• Ensure that every client derives the most value possible from the platform
• Use social data to research and evaluate potential markets for new product releases, businesses, acquisitions, and further identify customer prospects for the client’s products and initiative
• Work alongside our internal business development teams to foster new opportunities within existing business, and assist in preparing pitches to win new business
• Craft digital stories & content for the brand’s digital media platforms to ensure high levels of engagement with the target audience
• Working with Marketing Account Managers and creative team to conceptualize campaigns that meets the client's brief and budget
• Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
• Maintaining an exhaustive knowledge archive of the clients, their business sectors, activities, and industry dynamics
• Identify, adapt to, and share new social media channels and technologies, in line with industry trends
• Build strong relationships with ambassadors and influencers to implement strategies to strengthen community engagement
• Develop and implement dashboard reporting for all social media activity

Requirements

• The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
• At least 3-6 years experience working within a social media role (social account management)
• Experience in creating 'social' content appropriate to different platform dynamics and formats
• Extensive understanding of all social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn etc)
• Up to date with the latest social media trends, platforms, and algorithms
• Has at least 1 year experience of leading a team
• Must be able to prioritize a demanding workload and tight timelines
• Holds a bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Media or another related field.
• Previous experience in working with influencers/ bloggers an advantage
• Arabic speaking is a plus
