Civil Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Libya. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing various civil engineering projects, ensuring their successful completion within specified timelines and budget constraints. The role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and design civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, and infrastructure
- Conduct feasibility studies and site investigations
- Prepare and present project proposals, including cost estimates and timelines
- Manage and oversee construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
- Monitor project progress, identify and address potential issues, and implement necessary changes to ensure project completion within specified parameters
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and quality standards
- Provide technical advice and support to project teams and clients
- Prepare and review engineering reports, drawings, and documentation

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree is a plus
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
- Proven experience in civil engineering, with a focus on project management and construction supervision
- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and materials
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and structural analysis programs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities
