Facility Manager

Job description / Role

This post carries the responsibility of the overall management of the facilities to ensure effective daily facilities operations.

- Oversee all property related projects such as extension, renovations and refurbishment.
- Manage all soft services operations including security, cleaning, catering and general services.
- Maintain all sites in a good state of appearance and tidiness including all buildings, facilities and external areas.
- Ensure that basic facilities such as water, electricity & AC are well-maintained regularly.
- Ensure all buildings and facilities are in compliance with local rules and regulations as well as health and safety standards.
- Implement practice of economy in terms of energy use while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Liaise with all contractors and providers for all outsourced services and monitor their progress and performance.
- Lead, motivate and support multi-disciplinary teams of all staff.
- Oversee all FM company employees related HR activity such as shifts and leaves, in coordination with the HR Group guidelines and policies.
- Maintain record of all financial and non-financial operations.
- Manage facility budgets.
- Cooperate with the managers of hard services for maintenance and building requirements.
- Prepare reports on operations and make recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

- Degree in civil engineering or related field.
- 5+ years in Building / Facilities or construction projects management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluency in English and Arabic languages.
- Computer skills (Familiar with Microsoft office programs).
- Familiar with AutoCad and reading/editing architectural layouts if needed.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership and decision-making skills.
- Organization, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Knowledge of evacuation procedures.
