General Manager

Job description / Role

HARIM Group is seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead group operations and drive organisational excellence across its diverse portfolio in the hospitality, real estate, and marine sectors.

This is a strategic and operational leadership role for a hands-on, visionary leader who can balance high-level business oversight with grounded execution. The General Manager will work closely with the Senior Management Team (SMT) to ensure the company’s strategic objectives are achieved through disciplined financial management, strong governance, and empowered teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and oversee day-to-day operations across multiple business units, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with strategic goals.
• Manage and mentor departmental heads and senior managers, driving accountability and performance across all levels.
• Support strategic initiatives and new business development in line with SMT direction.
• Act as key liaison with the SMT, preparing reports, meeting briefs, and ensuring follow-up on action items.
• Drive strong governance practices, regulatory compliance, and corporate ethics standards.
• Lead continuous improvement in systems and operational processes.
• Represent HARIM with professionalism in all internal and external interactions, including government agencies, contractors, and partners.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance across the organisation.

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior management roles, preferably within corporate or infrastructure sectors.
• Proven experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary teams and delivering measurable operational results.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to implement systems, policies, and governance frameworks.
• Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution.
• SAP experience preferred
• High professional integrity and ability to operate with discretion at an executive level.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.
