Project Director

Job description / Role

Randstad are currently looking for a Project Director to join an international real estate development firm to lead the delivery of a high-end hospitality project based in the Maldives. This is a full time position based in the Maldives where you will take the project from design through to construction and completion.

Key responsibilities:

- Responsible for the overall project delivery strategy including the management of design & development process, sustainable construction methodologies and site construction works
- Reporting on project budget, cash flow/funds, procurement of consultants/contractors and progress of design & construction works
- Approval of external consultants and negotiation with contractors during procurement process
- Liaising with all local authorities, business units & stakeholders during initiation and handing over phase

Requirements

Key requirements:

- 15 - 20 years experience in construction & real estate development
- Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering or similar (preferred)
- Previous experience of leading the design and construction of high-end resort projects from start to finish
- Extensive hospitality project experience in remote/hardship locations ideally in the Maldives
- Knowledge of logistics, authority approvals and customs etc of island locations in South Asia
