The Opportunity
Be a part of our International Project Management business that oversees work for leading organisations across the public and private sectors around the world.
Our Middle East and North Africa hub started in 1998 and has successfully operated in a wide range of countries, delivering project & programme management and cost consultancy services.
The Role
Project Manager – Hotel Project
Working in a Client Facing, Project Management role, responsible for the delivery of Hotel scheme in the Maldives.
Responsibilities include
• Reporting to the Project Director, responsible for the delivery of a major High End Hotel project on a reclaimed Island.
• Working in a client facing role, responsible for developing the clients’ strategy, through to managing the delivery through the extended professional team of Local and International Consultants and Contractors.
• Responsible for developing the clients brief, delivery strategy and execution of the scheme.
• Responsible for establishing and managing a high performing team that strives for quality, safety, cost and schedule improvements at every opportunity with all delivery partners, challenging and seeking to improve the project deliverables.
• Responsible for seeing that the highest standards of Health and Safety are considered as a priority through all stages of the project.
A hands on approach is essential and it is important that you will not only be client facing, but can demonstrate a good level of confidence and comfort working directly with our clients teams.
Requirements
Health and Safety Objectives
• Assist in developing workplace safety procedures.
• Promote workplace safety standards and procedures.
• Immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents.
• Assist the safety team in achieving high standards of workplace safety.
• Continuously promote and influence a positive safety culture.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
• Previous experience in High End Hospitality projects is essential.
• International or island environment project delivery experience is essential.
• Detailed knowledge and appreciation of Health and Safety is essential.
• Excellent technical grounding in all aspects of project management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills will be required.
• Excellent knowledge of all methods of procurement.
• Able to build and maintain key client relationships.
• Demonstrable leadership qualities are essential.
• Use of the Microsoft office suite of programs.
Qualifications
• Degree Qualifications is essential.
• Professional Memberships are an advantage but not essential.
