JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
- Lead the piping section in carrying out the piping requirements for new ship buildings and ship repairs projects;
- Plan and manage the personnel resources to meet the requirements of the project with safe working methods;
- Able to instruct and supervise pipe fitters and pipe welders in their daily tasks and adhering to safety instructions and precautions;
- Carry out checks on work done to ensure progress, quality and that problems are addressed and resolved
REQUIREMENTS
- A diploma in Shipbuilding with at least five (5) years direct working experience in shipbuilding or offshore industry with minimum 2 years in supervisory position;
- Understand and able read ISO drawings on various systems on board the vessels;
- Able to co-ordinate with vendor or supplier in technical matter & commissioning;
- Effective analysis and problem solving skills;
- Knowledge and ability to use computer is preferred;
- Good command of English and Azeri (preferred but not necessary)
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Baku Shipyard LLC joint venture was founded on May 10, 2011 under the laws of Azerbaijan with State Oil Company of Azerbaijan owning 65%, Azerbaijan Investment Company 25%, and Keppel Offshore Marine 10%, has developed and put into operation the most modern shipbuilding and ship repair facility in the Caspian Sea. Main activity of the Baku Shipyard consists of the construction of a variety of vessels ranging from offshore support vessels, general cargo vessels, tug boats, crane vessels, specialized vessels and passengers vessels to tankers. The yard also undertakes ship repair and conversion of such vessels.
