JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Food Preparation & Cooking:
• Prepare and cook a variety of traditional and modern Arabic rice dishes with expertise.
• Select, clean, and soak rice appropriately for different dishes to ensure optimal texture and flavor.
• Master various rice cooking techniques, including steaming, slow-cooking, and absorption methods.
• Season and prepare meats (chicken, lamb, beef, and seafood) to complement rice dishes.
• Ensure the precise use of Arabic spices to enhance authenticity and flavor profiles.
• Maintain consistency in taste, texture, and presentation across all rice dishes.
• Monitor food freshness and quality while maintaining portion control.
Kitchen Operations & Hygiene:
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations in line with HACCP standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the kitchen and workstation.
• Assist in inventory management, receiving, and proper storage of ingredients.
• Ensure the proper handling and storage of perishable items, including meats, seafood, and vegetables.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie specializing in Arabic rice dishes.• Strong knowledge of traditional Arabic cooking techniques, particularly rice preparation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
• Excellent understanding of Arabic spices, flavors, and ingredient combinations.
• Strong attention to detail, consistency, and quality control.
• Team player with effective communication and leadership skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
