JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Main Purpose of the Job:
Mott MacDonald is currently to expand its construction management team on a large housing scheme in Bahrain and to the extent, are looking for an Assistant Resident Engineer.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
* Plan, monitor and supervise works of construction supervision Engineers
* Review, monitor and report on progress of works
* Review/comment and approve Contractor's design, material submittals, drawings, method statements and other project relevant documentation
* Attend factory and site testing and inspection of equipment and materials
* Convene and chair technical and progress meetings with all concerned parties
* Prepare technical and financial reports related to the project
* Provide advice to the Client on contractual and construction matters
* Provide professional support to the management team within the Division, helping to ensure high quality service delivery and a co-ordinated response to clients
* Liaise with all parties for site safety
REQUIREMENTS
Essential Candidate Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
* Registered engineer with a recognized professional institution would be an added advantage
* Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience, 10 of which will have been in construction supervision on large housing schemes, preferably in the Middle East
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in the English language, with good report writing, analytical and computer skills
