JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Guildhall is currently retained to appoint a Chief of Shared Services on behalf of our client, a leading organization in the automotive and servicing industry. The Chief of Shared Services will lead and oversee all centralized support functions across the organization, ensuring efficient service delivery, operational excellence, and alignment with strategic objectives. This role is critical to driving cost-effective, scalable operations across multiple business units—including automotive retail, aftersales service, leasing, and industrial services.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
• Define and implement the shared services strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on operational improvements and enterprise support models.
Operational Oversight
• Manage shared service functions including: Human Resources, Finance & Accounting, IT & Digital Services, Procurement & Vendor Management, Administrative & Facility Services.
• Oversee the development of SLAs, KPIs, and performance dashboards to ensure service quality and accountability.
Process Optimization & Efficiency
• Streamline and standardize business processes across departments to enhance productivity.
• Leverage technology, automation, and ERP systems to reduce redundancies and improve service turnaround.
People & Culture
• Foster a culture of collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement.
• Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and cross-functional teams.
Compliance & Risk Management
• Ensure shared services comply with internal policies, industry standards, and regional regulations.
• Manage risk, cost control, and audit-readiness of all support functions.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with business unit leaders across automotive sales, service centers, parts distribution, and leasing to understand needs and align services.
• Act as a single point of accountability for shared services delivery.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or related field.• Minimum 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in shared services or operations.
• Experience in GCC or MENA regional business environments.
• Background in automotive, industrial services, or dealership operations is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams and manage complex service environments.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), service management tools, and performance frameworks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated success in process transformation and service optimization.
• Bilingual (English + Arabic) is an advantage.
