The Company:

A successful Construction Group are seeking a General Foreman in Manama, Bahrain. The company are engaged in civil engineering and building works, with expertise in industrial, commercial, residential and hotel projects.

Position and Project:

Following the recent award of a major military project, they are poised to enter an exciting phase of their expansion. To maintain their enviable reputation and to help ensure the efficient delivery of this project, they are looking to appoint an ambitious General Foreman..

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Follow the schedule of work based on the given instructions and priorities from the Engineers on site.
• Control of manpower and observation of the productivity of all the trades on site.
• Report to Site Engineers for the productivity and technical problems on site.
• Maintain the safety measures and reports/rectifies any violation on site.
• Control and coordinate materials and tools on site.
• Ensure that all trades on site are familiar with the given tasks and arranges the number of people according to the site requirements and priorities.
• Follow the Method of Statement for shuttering and de-shuttering works.
• Following the Safety instructions and enforces the safety team for fulfilling promptly and proactively measures on site.
• Reports to Engineers and safety officers for any malfunctions of tools and equipment.
• Obtain the weekly look ahead program from the engineer and make the site plan in terms of materials, resources and subcontractors in a timely manner.
• Daily coordination with safety officer/ engineer for the safety measures required at site ensuring that the safety is implemented at all times.
• Ensure that all equipment and tools are kept at site in good condition and cleaned after use and report to store keeper any malefaction or damage.
• Ensure that all site works are timely distributed and effectively executed with the maximum productivity and the most efficient way.
