Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to oversee our operations in Manama, Bahrain. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our 4 factories covering precast concrete, crushing, sand, and steel. You will play a crucial role in driving profitability, operational efficiency, quality assurance, maintenance, and sales/business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage profit and loss for the assigned factories, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
• Provide oversight of day-to-day operations, including production, logistics, quality control, and maintenance.
• Lead a team of approximately 250 indirect reports, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and execute sales and business development strategies to expand market share and drive revenue growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and product innovation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies.

REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:
• Previous experience working in the Middle East, with a deep understanding of the regional business landscape and cultural nuances.
• Proven track record of success in a similar capacity within a large building materials company. Exposure to precast concrete operations would be advantageous.
• Sales management experience would be advantageous, although a commercially astute operations background will also be considered.
• Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve organizational goals.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Suitably qualified in a relevant discipline.
