Job Description

IT Manager

Responsible for overseeing the hotel's IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability. This involves managing servers, networks, and communication systems. Additionally, evaluates, selects, and implements software to enhance guest experiences and streamline operations, collaborating with vendors for tailored solutions. Develops and enforces data security policies to comply with regulations, staying updated on emerging technologies. Leads the IT team, providing training for skill enhancement, and collaborates with hotel departments to address technology needs, aligning strategies with business objectives. Manages the IT budget for cost efficiency, conducts system audits, ensures user needs are met while complying with regulations, proposes cybersecurity measures, and drafts relevant policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee planning, implementation, and maintenance of hotel IT infrastructure for reliability, security, and scalability. Manage servers, networks, and communication systems.
- Software Solutions: Evaluate, select, and implement software to enhance guest experiences and streamline operations. Collaborate with vendors for tailored solutions.
- Data Security and Compliance: Develop and enforce data security policies, ensuring compliance with regulations. Stay updated on emerging technologies.
- Team Leadership: Lead IT team, fostering innovation and collaboration. Provide training for skill enhancement.
- Collaboration with Departments: Work with hotel departments to address technology needs. Align technology strategies with business objectives.
- Budget Management: Manage IT budget for cost efficiency.
- Auditing and Reporting: Perform system audits and generate performance reports.
- User Needs and Compliance: Ensure IT activities meet user needs and comply with legislation and procedures.
- Cybersecurity: Propose and implement cybersecurity measures to prevent cyber threats.
- Policy Drafting: Draft guidelines, protocols, and functional procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

- Education & leadership Experience: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Prior leadership experience in a similar role is required.
- Technical Skills & Industry Knowledge: Understanding of TCP/IP networks. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications. Understanding hotel applications is an asset.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to Detail: Highly responsible and reliable with exceptional attention to detail.
- Customer Service: Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous.
