Job Description

Kitchen & Laundry Technician

As a Kitchen & Laundry Technician, your main duty is promptly addressing and repairing electrical systems, reporting to the Duty Engineer. You'll focus on kitchen and laundry equipment, ensuring smooth operation by troubleshooting and fixing appliances like ovens, dishwashers, and washing machines. Documenting repairs and conducting preventive maintenance are key tasks, as is maintaining cleanliness for safety and hygiene. During emergencies, you'll support engineering teams, manage tools, and procure supplies. Adhering strictly to safety protocols and promptly reporting concerns are crucial aspects of the role. Your dedication to safety and maintenance excellence significantly impacts the department's success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Electrical Maintenance: Attend maintenance requests, calls, and repairs related to electrical works. Record all electrical parts used during repairs and inform the Maintenance Supervisor. Maintain cleanliness around the electrical workshop and job sites.
- Emergency Response: Standby on call for emergency jobs after midnight as per duty roster or Chief Engineer's instructions. Prevent breakdowns by inspecting and replacing old wiring, cleaning circuits, and performing effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions.
- Assistance and Support: Assist engineering crews in emergencies, fires, natural disasters, and calamities. Perform emergency repairs, maintain tools, order supplies, and make routine adjustments. Assist in urgent manpower needs when necessary.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, regulations, and industry standards to minimize the risk of accidents, injuries, and equipment damage. Report any safety concerns or hazards to management promptly.
