Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently recruiting for Process Engineers for Bahrain location .

Job Obective

The Process Engineer is responsible for executing delegated responsibilities within a project team to the effect of assisting the Senior or Lead Process Engineer in ensuring that all design and drafting output for the Discipline is carried out on schedule, within budget meeting the project requirements. The Process engineer shall be located in contractor office and will work solely under the direction of Bapco upstream Process Department.

Core Responsibilities required as below:
- Preparation of conceptual study reports and process design basis
- Assisting the Lead Discipline Engineer in overseeing all the issues pertaining to the completion of Process deliverables on a project
- Performing simulations and preparing heat and material balance to meet the project specifications;
- Review various Process engineering deliverables (such as Process Basis of Design, Process Control and Shut Down Philosophy, shutdown, isolation and depressurizing philosophies, Process Simulation report etc.) for assigned projects
- Reviews technical bids submitted by contractors and equipment vendors
- Attend design review meeting, HAZOP, PLC FAT and other sessions
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines
- Ensures application of correct codes and standards in the design and development projects and develops project strategies for presentation to Management for approval

HSE Responsibilities
- Knows company health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and regulations related to area of responsibility. Ensures effective implementation and safe working at all times to avoid risk to personnel and potential loss of production
- Participates in HAZOP and safety reviews

Job Context
- Review/develops various Process engineering deliverables (such as Process Basis of Design, Process Control and Shut Down Philosophy, shutdown, isolation and depressurizing philosophies, Process Simulation report etc.) for assigned projects
- Work closely with all FEC Project Engineering Sections on completion of process engineering tasks relevant to their individual projects

REQUIREMENTS

Skills / Qualifications
Education
- Degree or equivalent in Process/Chemical Engineering

Experience
- 5-10 years process engineering experience in the oil and gas production industry
- Experience in Design of Upstream Onshore gas Processing Facilities, gathering network, gas compression, Gas Dehydration Units etc.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards and their oil & gas influences
- Experience in Process Simulation Software Aspen Hysys, Pipesim etc

Skills
- Strong team player with good interpersonal, analytical and process engineering skills
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively interact with management, discipline engineers, construction personnel, vendors contractors, and all other Tatweer departments to facilitate flow of information
- Must be PC literate and skilled in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and other tools
- Must possess the ability to handle multiple assignments with a focus on meeting deadlines and with delivery of a quality project
