PROJECT CONTROLS MANAGER

Salary 4,000-5,000 BHD Plus Car, Flights , Medical & Bonus

Project Controls Manager required for Bahrain’s Leading Build, Civil & Marine Contractor.

This business has 50+ Years delivering Hotels, High Rise, Commercial, Bridges, Port Works, Airport Works & Multi Lane Highways. Projects from £35 Million to £300 Million.

Sitting within the management team in HQ. Adding value at pre-construction and execution stages on site. Cost control, planning , scheduling, risk management and change management will be factors you have an abundance of experience within.

Working alongside Project Managers & Project Controls Engineers to management and implement recovery strategies if needed.

Responsibilities
• Provide support in the management of project budgets, track costs, and oversee the preparation of financial forecasts.
• Monitoring project cost with the Project Commercial Manager
• Conducts detailed review and analysis of project performance control and reports
• Track the project’s performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Review and discuss material waste reports with the Project Team
• Review and endorse proposed corrective actions to maintain the project within planned cost and schedule
• Monitor and manage project risks, including the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks and opportunities
• Provide support to project teams in regards to change management, including subcontractor claims, change requests, claims and dispute resolution

Requirements:

Communication ( Critical )

• Able to write a clear & concise e-mail that states your position in a polite fashion.
• Personable enough to knock on a door of a client and find middle ground over a cup of coffee..
• Presentation skills to stakeholders in an articulate manner and raise critical issues
• Soft skills and empathy to coordinate with internal stakeholders, project teams, sub-contractors & suppliers

Criteria

• Clear Project Controls Management experience for the past 10+ Years for Reputable Main Contractor / PMC
• Strong analytical skills and a calmness to perform under pressure
• Degree in Civil Engineering , Project Management or Cost from a reputable University
• Primavera P6 Software experience and Project Management Tools
• Professional status desired
• Able to pull apart programs and see risk when required

Salary:
BHD 4,000 to 5,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
