JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a leading nut retailer that boasts a dominant market share in the Middle East. Renowned for its high-quality roasted nuts and coffee, the company operates hundreds of stores across the region and also excels in wholesale under various private labels. They are currently looking for an Operations Manager to be based in Bahrain.

Responsible for Managing the Operating environment.
• Preparing the Annual Budget for the Operation Department
• Represent the Company at local level on operating issues.
• Ensure that all stores in Market adhere to environmental, employment & Business Laws & Regulations.
• Single point of contact in the Market for Loss Prevention, I.T., Logistics, Finance & Marketing Support Divisions. Brief local function heads on Business priorities & initiatives.

Responsible for the overall Store Operations
• Ensure consistent application of Store Operating Procedures across all Divisions, or for assigned brand clusters.
• Work with brand Operations across all brands to identify opportunities, plan recovery, re forecast Business Plans & to share Best Practice.

Responsible for Selecting, Managing, and developing people
• Determine ongoing & long-term store staffing requirements.
• Monitor training & development needs, implement appraisal programs & ensure performance management processes are implemented consistently.
• Responsible for managing communication and Brand relations.
• Be the first point of contact for the business for all stores.
• Ensure consistent application of brand operating & visual standards.

Responsible for Business Development
• Lead major change & property development projects in the Market, e.g. Mall developments, store openings.
• Apply project management expertise coordinating brand, Property & Support Division activity throughout the planning, development & completion phases.
• Support new brands/Business initiatives during the preparation & launch phase in the Market, e.g. resource planning, training, property project liaison compliance with local regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive in Retail Stores experience is required.
• A proven record of success achieving sales target as desired by the business.
• Degree or Professional business qualification.
• Multi-site Store Retail Operations, Project management, Middle East marketplace work experience, Store development – new stores planning.
• Driving License.
• Proactive in understanding customer needs
• Implement efficiency drives to improve business performance
• Investigate & integrates key information sources
• Plan & create contingency
• Develop & maximize relationships
