Job description

Raffles Al Areen Palace in Bahrain is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a GCC Sales Manager. As a luxury resort, we are looking for someone who is passionate about sales and has a proven track record of exceeding targets in the GCC region.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth in the GCC market

Identify and prospect new business opportunities within the GCC region

Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and partners

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and initiatives

Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the competition

Positively communicate the hotel image to existing and potential customers at all times.

Ensure that revenues and/or cost controls are maximized through proactive actions rather than reactive management.

Report on trends in the industry and local markets.

Maintain a calendar allowing you to meet all established deadlines and planned sales trips.

Maintain accurate information on all new and ongoing leads and accounts, including solicitation efforts.

Establish and sign contracts considering the official rate policy in coordination with the DOSM.

Special deals (out of guidelines and rate policy) must in any case be discussed, coordinated, and approved prior to offer with the hotel's management.

Be the one point of contact from the sales team with the external client you are dealing with and handle responsively any escalations relating to the concerned client.

Ensure that targets set by the hotel are met consistently.

Thoroughly familiarize yourself with the hotel's emergency procedures and be in a state of preparedness for any emergency which may occur.

Be familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant operational standards manual for your field of responsibility.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the hospitality industry

Strong network of contacts within the GCC region

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
