JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Our international client is looking to hire an experienced Senior Manager to work within its Audit Division. This individual will act as an Audit Engagement Manager working with financial services clients such as retail and corporate banking.
Playing an integral role in the business, you will report to the Audit Partners on all salient points arising from audits, participate in overall practice management, as well as work with other Managers to help ensure proper deployment of audit staff. Other responsibilities include project management statutory audits; monitoring the execution of external audit engagements within agreed budgets and deadlines; generating new business opportunities; developing long-term relationships and networking with internal and external stakeholders; providing technical training sessions to staff and clients; and setting objectives with the audit team.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate should have 10 years’ experience in public auditing and accounting with a Big 4 Audit Firm, current working knowledge of IFRS, with experience in the Financial Services Sector preferably within Retail Banking. You should be able to work under pressure, have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to lead mentor and motivate a team, and be highly analytical to be able to manipulate and interpret financial data and suggest solutions to complex problems. Western/European market experience would be an advantage. CA, ACCA, ACA, CPA is required.
