JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE:
Prepare, monitor & update project schedule, monitoring resources and preparing & analyzing progress status, reporting to the satisfaction of all concerned.
WORK PERFORMED:
• Planning, scheduling and monitoring of construction activities to enable the desired completion of projects.
• To work with various project disciplines to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs.
• Updating / modifying and distributing backlog, etc. of activities in overall programs based on the resources available, preparing EOT if required or entitled.
• To supervise project schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine criticality of schedule activities.
• To interface with project site management and client counterparts for specific planning and scheduling tasks.
• To provide comments and recommendations for planning, scheduling and resource requirements relative to staffing and project control.
• Preparation of fortnightly / monthly project and progress reports.
• Compilation of data received from all sites on daily / weekly / fortnightly basis, as required into forms ready for final analysis by the top management.
• Maintain standards of safety and comply with Company’s Health, Safety and Environment Management System requirements
Other Qualifications
• Knowledge of Primavera software, MS project Application and MS Spreadsheet
Requirements:
Related Experience• Minimum 5 years as a Planning Engineer in Construction Industry.
Education.
• Completion of University Degree preferably in Civil Engineering
