JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
You are a Systems Engineer specializing in Database Operations and Application Support responsible for database management, particularly SQL Server, and application support.

A very successful, leading organisation in in the region, looking to hire a Tier 3 level Database professional to lead the Database and Application Support function.
Description
* Lead application and database support, including planning and upgrades.
* Manage system operations and upgrades.
* Execute application and data migrations such as SharePoint online migration, application data and database migrations, application upgrade planning and support)
* Oversee IT system operations and support.
* Manage vendor relationships.
* Ensure disaster recovery readiness.
* Maintain up-to-date operational documentation.

REQUIREMENTS
* Tier 3 Database professional with a minimum of 10-15 years of overall experience.
* Strong understanding of the interplay between databases and applications, including Azure-based database encryption and data migration.
* Strong expertise in application support for predominantly Microsoft stack applications.
* Top notch communication skills, both written and oral.
* Requires an engineering mindset, not limited to pure operations.
* Experience operating at a global level.
* Prior experience of working in the Finance or Investments industry would be highly preferred.
