JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations in the lifting industry in Cameroon. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all machinery and equipment, as well as leading a team of maintenance technicians to deliver high-quality service and minimize downtime.

Responsibilities:
• Calibration and installation of pressure sensors for load sensing on booms.
• Calibration and installation of length and angle sensors for booms.
• Rectification and installation of load moment indicators (LMI) for crane.
• Knowledgeable in electromechanical installation and rectifications.
• Grove cranes ECOS, EKS, Hirschmann, and PAT systems load moment indicators.
• Liebherr cranes LICCON system.
• Repair and maintain electronic and electrical controls.
• Skilled to troubleshoot and diagnose electronics and electrical problems in industrial control devices, CAN Bus frequency converter drive controller, inverters and electromechanical drive controllers.
• Able to read and analyze electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematic diagrams.
• Carry out constant monitoring of equipment when in use and immediately respond in the event of breakdown.
• Trained to rectify faults to the least possible time.
• Flexible in handling non-scheduled corrective repair in any form either electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic in nature.
• Identification and ordering of needed defective parts of machines.
• Conduct training of operators and maintenance people.
• Knowledgeable in Engines and Transmission repairs.
• Corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance
• Work hand in hand with Electricians and Mechanics to solve urgent problems on machines.
• Make up to date files on each machine for future reference.
• Diagnose and repairs faults for high pressure cleaning equipment.
• Can operate and handle cranes and other machines.
• Conduct training for crane operators to perform basic troubleshooting on crane breakdowns.
• Find solutions/innovations to minimize machines breakdown and downtime.
• Manage a crane fleet of 50 tons, 130 tons and 220 tons.
• Carry out the diagnosis and maintenance of the cranes and will be in contact with the spare parts supplier.

Salary:
AED 16,500 to 27,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

REQUIREMENTS

• 8 years experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar role in the lifting or heavy equipment industry.
• In-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, technical systems, and equipment in the lifting industry.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills to address maintenance issues effectively and efficiently.
• Solid understanding of budgeting and financial management related to maintenance operations.
• 3 to 4 years experiences in Africa.
• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in maintenance, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance with regulations
