Hess Energy Trading Company (HETCo) is a partly owned affiliate of Hess Corporation, a US listed integrated oil and gas company. HETCo is a proprietary trading company and market maker focusing exclusively on the energy sector and which trades extensively in physical oil and gas and in the financial energy markets. The copmpany also offers energy-related advisory services to private companies, financial institutions as well as national oil companies.

HETCO was established in 1997 and has offices in New York, Boston, London and Singapore. Professionals on the staff have worked at major oil companies and financial institutions, many of whom have been trading since energy markets were commoditized in the mid 1980’s.
