Alfanar Building Systems manufactures and markets a variety of building construction products and systems.
The core manufacturing activities of the industries operating under alfanar Building Systems are:
• Real estate development
• Facade cladding, glazing systems, and architectural aluminum products
• Precast concrete products and architectural elements
Job Purpose
The Developer Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom solutions using Autodesk Revit's API to enhance the capabilities of Revit software for internal teams and clients. The role focuses on automating tasks, integrating systems, and optimizing workflows to increase productivity in Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes. The developer collaborates with BIM managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software tools that meet specific project requirements and improve design accuracy.
Key Accountability Areas
Software Development & Customization:
• Design and implement custom plugins, tools, and scripts using the Revit API to streamline Revit workflows.
• Develop, maintain, and improve software applications that integrate with Revit and other Autodesk products.
• Test and validate custom Revit functionalities to ensure reliability and performance.
BIM Workflow Automation:
• Automate repetitive and manual tasks to optimize efficiency in Revit projects.
• Develop scripts and macros to assist in model analysis, data extraction, and data manipulation.
Integration & Collaboration:
• Integrate Revit with other platforms (e.g., databases, third-party software) to enable seamless data exchange.
• Work closely with BIM teams and project managers to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for the custom Revit tools and workflows.
• Document code, workflows, and technical procedures to ensure maintainability and future scalability.
Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest Revit API features and best practices to continuously enhance the tools developed.
• Monitor the performance of deployed solutions and introduce improvements based on feedback.
Role Accountability
• Coding & Development: Accountable for delivering high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code in line with project requirements and timelines.
• Tool Deployment: Ensures the smooth implementation and integration of Revit API tools across BIM projects and workflows.
• Technical Collaboration: Responsible for working with project stakeholders, identifying challenges, and providing technical solutions using the Revit API.
• Support & Maintenance: Accountable for the ongoing support, updates, and maintenance of the developed solutions, including bug fixes and upgrades.
• Documentation: Ensures that all custom tools and solutions are well-documented for future reference and scalability.
