JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Job Summary
The Proposal Engineer supports the development of technical and commercial proposals . He works closely with the Proposal Development team for the preparation of prequalification materials and internal documents to support the development of proposals. The jobholder works closely with Senior Proposal Engineers throughout the entire proposal development life cycle, including developing proposal method statements, estimating project delivery costs, consolidating staff resumes and project references and coordinating the preparation of tender requirements, such as bid bonds, performance bonds, etc. The jobholder is also expected to support the design proposal teams with local market intelligence and facilitation of local requirements and documentations, as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble, prepare and submit prequalification materials for potential projects and clients
• Collect internal documentation to support the development of proposals
• Support Senior Proposal Engineers with the development of method statements, approach and scope for proposals, setting man-hour rates and calculation of direct project costs for proposals
• Support the preparation and arrangement for local requirements, such as bid bonds, performance bonds, etc. for tenders

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering• Good organization and time management skills
• Good estimation and scheduling skills
• Good technical writing skills
• Good communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic
Specific Experience Required to Execute this Role
• 2+ years of experience in engineering in a top tier regional / multinational engineering consultancy firm with experience in proposal development, pricing and cost estimation
