Description role overview:
Advansys is hiring a MySQL Support Engineer to manage and optimize our clients’ MySQL environments. The role involves performance tuning, troubleshooting, backup management, and ensuring smooth database operation and security compliance.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage MySQL installations, configurations, and performance tuning.
- Troubleshoot and resolve MySQL database issues in real-time.
- Handle database backups, restores, and replication.
- Collaborate with developers to optimize queries and indexes.
- Ensure security hardening and version upgrades when required.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with MySQL administration and optimization.
- Solid understanding of replication, partitioning, and HA setups.
- Proficiency with SQL, Linux, and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with MySQL monitoring and performance tools.
