JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Purpose of the job
- Accountable to grantee healthy network and ensure highest performance and KPIs for all mobile and fixed services running over Orange converged transport network to achieve unmatched customers' experience with an optimized approach for CAPEX/OPEX by Leading deep inspection of all converged network platforms and services and managing network optimization and performance improvement projects.

Duties and responsibilities
- Model and trend predicted changes in current topology and Take necessary action before the occurrence of any performance issues.
- Carry out the optimization of international and local Bandwidth distribution to save OPEX in line with the group operational direction.
- Develop optimization techniques for "what-if" failure analysis of Orange IP/MPLS network, IP traffic and carrying out risk assessment to minimize failure risks using one of the risk mitigation techniques.
- Lead Discovery, debugging, analysis and categorizing all error messages, service alerts and ensure proactive resolution before customers complain.
- Produce an appropriate up-to-date network optimization recommendations and guidance to all other areas of the business on all capacity and performance related issues.
- Inspect and Analyze the performance of core converged transport network in terms of quality, capacity , performance and configuration to grantee healthy environment
- Responsible for identifying opportunities to maximize operational efficiencies through the development and use of reporting tools and data analytics
- Perform deep research and study cutting-edge network optimization and performance management tools to improve network parameters up to the mobile industry standards
- Conduct technical evaluation for performance management, monitoring and simulation tools then participate in design the technical specs through RFI, RFPs with different functions across the technology department.
- Provide technical project management for network optimization and performance improvement projects within converged transport network.
- Build and integrate specific proactive monitoring cycle with cooperation the different technical teams that insure proactive discovery of network errors and services inefficiencies
- Develop customized reporting tools and utilize root cause analysis to identify trending network operational inefficiencies then utilize problem resolution to drive network optimization.
- Develop different alternatives for the converged network optimization to balance between network needs and the cost in order to reach cost efficient Model while sustaining high service quality.
- Prioritize the converged transport network optimization and performance improvement projects according to their business impact and effect on customers' experience
- Develop optimization logic for complex network situations that considers different variables affecting the business/operation (resources utilization, different purchasing alternatives, saving, quality of technical solution and finally the assumptions for unknown inputs like TE responses and changes in technology) to produce the proper network optimization decisions.
- Apply extensive research and communicate internally and externally with different teams in order to figure out creative solutions for complex Network optimization issues
- Ensure network optimization procedures, redundancy rules and design standards for converged mobile-fixed converged transport network are matching industry standards (like 3GPP, LTE)
- Develop and implement workflow modifications with cooperation with the different technical teams to achieve optimum operation flow
- Inspect converged transport network (Converged Backhauling, Backbone & Transmission; Converged Core & Corporate IP Data Network; Telco Cloud infrastructure) to grantee healthy environment for all running services of mobile and fixed customers
- Lead mutual cooperation with other functions to troubleshoot and inspect performance inefficiencies and sharing alternative solutions for converged network optimization.
- Provide technical leadership for team's members in the network optimization and performance functions
- Supervise outsourced engineers in all network optimization and performance activities

REQUIREMENTS

Education

- BSc. Communication Engineering

Experience

- 6+ years of work experience with IPMPLS network architecture, & telecom network infrastructure
- Possess knowledge, skills, & practical experience IP network operation processes
- Solid business experience and strong experience in building business cases and budgeting.
- Solid experience in managing telecom projects
