Presales Engineer IoT

Job description

Responsible for handling presales activities including providing designs and/or recommending solutions, fulfilling all technical support needed to sales team in the LoB. Along with suggested pricing of the suppliers and expected competition.

• Revenue, margin & order book from LoB across geographies
• Customer satisfaction & delivery against project spec

Dynamic and skilled IoT and smart cities presales engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing presales activities, including designing and recommending IoT and smart city solutions, and providing successful competitive commercial proposals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and design highly technical IoT and smart city solutions, integrating hardware, software licenses, networks, and connectivity components.
• Define the scope of services required to meet customer needs in IoT and smart city projects.
• Prepare technical and commercial offers for IIOT, smart city, SCADA, and smart metering projects.

Technical skills

• 2-5 years of experience in SCADA, IIOT, and smart cities solutions, with a deep understanding of industrial communication technologies.
• Proven expertise in IoT and smart city technologies, including smart sensors, data analytics, and cloud-based solutions.
• Experience with IoT protocols and standards such as MQTT, CoAP, and HTTP.
• Knowledge of network architecture and communication protocols relevant to smart city solutions, including LPWAN (LoRaWAN, NB-IoT) and cellular technologies (4G/5G).
• Familiarity with edge computing and its applications in IoT and smart cities.
• Experience with data management platforms, big data analytics, and real-time data processing in the context of smart city applications.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices specific to IoT and smart city deployments.
• Experience with platform integration tools and APIs for connecting different IoT and smart city systems.
• Previous experience in developing and deploying smart city infrastructure projects, including smart lighting, energy management, and environmental monitoring.
• Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations for IoT and smart city technologies.
• Familiarity with cloud service providers and their IoT and smart city offerings.
