JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Oracle Egypt is looking to recruit a Principal Software Solution Engineer to join our energetic team which delivers high value to customers in the Egypt territory in their endeavors with on-premise and cloud technology solution offerings. The candidate should have the ability to translate customer business requirements into solutions that leverage Oracle's data management offerings (Oracle Database, Database Options, Oracle Exadata). The candidate should be able to mentor members of the partner's technical community, and frequently delivers training and presentations to enrich Oracle technical community.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate should have significant experience in data management offerings. The candidate should have the ability to:
- Provide high quality technical pre-sales services to customers and partners (technical support, presentations, demonstrations, seminars, proof of concepts, installations, response to Invitations to Tender and Request for Information)
- Work with sales department, consulting and partners on Sales deals or on communication and skills transfer basis
- Lead and participate in response to Invitations to Tender and Requests For Information.
- Lead and participate in marketing activities (presentations, events, articles etc.)
- Maintain knowledge and commercial awareness of the competitor product/solution offerings and value propositions
- Present the business value of Oracle technology solutions
- Understand the needs and pains of the customer and then to link them to a set of Oracle products/solutions
- Design solutions' architecture to deliver effective technology solutions
- Build and maintain effective relationships with customers and partners throughout the sales lifecycle
- Lead and participate in assessment and realization of business opportunities
- Maintain an in depth and up to date product knowledge in the database products and solutions area
- Acting as an expert for the database products
- Responsible for providing technical solution support, based on Oracle database products and solutions during the sales support process
- Ensure the presales team and specified groups have up-to-date and relevant product knowledge.
Requirements:
- University degree in Computer Science- Proven hands on experience in one or more of the following areas: Oracle RDBMS, RAC, database security, database integration, database consolidation, virtualization, Exadata
- Good understanding of SQL, PL/SQL
- Additional experience with non-Oracle database technologies is a plus.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in Database administration, presales or consulting
- Excellent command of the Arabic & English languages
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good presentation skills including story telling skills
- Customer focused

- Ability & willingness to learn new technologies quickly
- Team player
