Job description
We are looking for a passionate and experienced revenue manager ready to take their career to the next level: drive revenue growth across our iconic hotels and brands, optimize pricing strategies and channel performance, build best practices and work with sector-leading technology.
As revenue manager, you will collaborate closely with sales, marketing and reservations teams to optimize our revenue performance across a property and achieve our business goals.
You will formulate and execute revenue strategies, identify market trends, and collaborate closely with the executive team on forecast and pricing. You will be a contributor to our revenue management community of practice internally and externally, mentor junior team members and receive learning and development support as you grow your career.
You will:
- Oversee revenue management strategies for the property.
- Ensure consistent pricing and revenue strategy.
- Conduct market analysis and performance benchmarking.
- Lead the weekly/bi-weekly revenue management meetings providing insights based on reporting data.
- Develop topline revenue forecasts and actively seek opportunities to drive incremental profit across all revenue centres of the business.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and optimize pricing and inventory.
- Mentor, coach and develop junior team members in revenue management practices.
- Collaborate with senior management, sales, finance, and front office teams to align strategies with business goals.
- Ensure reservations are well managed and coordinate with the reservations team.
- Drive market share in your competitive set and ensure all systems are adequately used to optimize RevPAR.
- Leverage your knowledge of the distribution landscape, including online travel agencies and distribution networks to optimize hotel profits.
- Be responsible for data quality and system hygiene of revenue management and distribution applications, platforms and tools used by the hotels.
- Maximize room revenue, profit and market share associated with rooms.
- Optimize the hotels and RGI (Revenue Generation Index – measuring the hotel’s position as compared to the competition) sales revenue.
- Support the budgetary process and the yearly strategy.
- Devise the yearly budget per segment and determine sales strategy.
- Develop and steer the hotel’s revenue strategy.
- Prepare forecasts and chair the revenue meeting.
- Update rates and restrictions throughout all distribution channels.
- Collect, integrate and study market and competition data on a daily basis.
- Maintain the revenue reporting system and analyse reservation patterns.
- Be aware of the strengths and weaknesses of all competing hotel and restaurant products and provide regular updates after visiting competition hotels allocated for tracking purposes.
- Provide ongoing market intelligence by monitoring business sources and segments.
- Assist the director of sales in pursuing new market segments to secure sales and prepare proposals for consideration.
- Ensure that revenues and/or cost controls are maximized through proactive actions rather than reactive management.
- Report on trends in the industry and local markets.
- Conduct the hotel’s revenue meetings as scheduled.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a revenue manager role.
- Previous working experience in Red Sea destinations (Sharm El Sheikh / Hurghada).
- Strong background in resort revenue management and reservations, including forecasting, budgeting, pricing strategies, and market analysis.
