Job description

Implement and configure Elastic Stack components (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana).

Implement and configure content (alerts, dashboards, etc.) on Kibana.

Configure Logstash, Filebeat, and possibly other ELK Stack components to collect and store the data necessary to meet business requirements.

Experience in the area of application support and log monitoring, especially in ELK.

Experience with implementing and configuring multi-node Kafka clusters.

Lead log onboarding requirements.

Integrate ELK with enterprise tools and APIs, e.g., authentication and authorization.

Capacity planning of Elasticsearch cluster.

Personal skills

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Possess excellent time management skills and the drive to work unsupervised.

Technical skills

3+ years information security experience.

2+ years of experience with hands-on development, configuration, deployment, integration, or maintenance of systems using technologies that include Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Beats, Kafka, or Splunk.

Experience developing and troubleshooting Python, JSON, JavaScript, or other scripting languages.

Experience with automated configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).

Knowledge of planning and executing data retention and lifecycle management plans.

Experience with Linux configuration and administration.

Education

Bachelor in computer science, engineering, other related field, or equivalent experience.
