Senior Engineer - Energy Management

Job Summary
The Senior Engineer (Energy Management) ensures the delivery of projects in adherence to local and international sustainability standards. He reviews and delivers recommendations on engineering designs to improve energy efficiency through conducting detailed energy modeling, evaluation and life-cycle cost analyses leveraging best practice energy modeling software and techniques. He is also expected to support the delivery of sustainability training and awareness sessions to internal and external counterparts. The jobholder is expected to independently work on and successfully complete engineering design projects of medium complexity under the guidance of the Senior Project Engineer Energy Modeling

Key Responsibilities
• Analyze existing building systems and collect data on building operation, HVAC, electrical, lighting and controls to determine energy usage and efficiency
• Derive sustainability options for new buildings and existing structures and conduct financial analysis to assess financial feasibility of sustainability options, including life cycle costs and Returns on Investment for projects of medium complexity
• Perform energy analysis and thermal load simulations to determine feasible design changes for projects of medium complexity
• Develop and maintain energy based payback and life cycle cost calculations and modeling tools for projects of medium complexity
• Develop and maintain performance curves and coefficients for EnergyPlus, EnergyPro, eQuest, Trace and HAP
• Evaluate the design of building mechanical, electrical and architectural systems by analyzing drawings and specifications in terms of energy efficiency
• Provide recommendations and calculate energy savings
• Perform energy audits, including ASHRAE Level 1, 2, and 3 audits, and author reports
• Analyze potential renewable energy sources
