Senior Network Administrator

Overview

Role purpose: Technical design, planning, implementation, and high level of fine tuning and recovery procedures for enterprise network systems. Serves as a technical expert in the area of network administration for complex networks. Investigates and analyses feasibility of network requirements and develops network hardware specifications. Identifies methods and solutions.

Installation, configuration, and upgrading of network devices like switches, routers, wireless devices, and related hardware and software in a LAN, WAN environment. Investigation, diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and repair/resolution of network, hardware, software, and infrastructure. Adopt the PWCT IT security standards as part of daily work.

IT platform exposure: Must have updated knowledge on network infrastructure components in various platforms.

Technical skill sets:

• Diagnosis and troubleshooting abilities are needed on network issues.

Software/hardware tools:

• Should possess good working experience on L2/L3 switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless devices.
• Should possess basic understanding of MPLS cloud and VPN technologies.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting routing protocols like RIP, EIGRP, and OSPF and knowledge on BGP.
• Expertise on security solutions like SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAFs, Antibot, Application & URL Filtering is an added advantage.
• Knowledge and experience on VOIP.
• Exposure on VPN and tunnelling protocols.

Personal skills:

• Must have good communication skills both verbal and oral, be a self-starter, motivated, and a team player.
• Should be able to prepare technical documentation.

Languages(s): Should be fluent in English; Arabic is an added advantage.

Qualifications/requirements

Industry/domain:

• Minimum 6 years to 10 years of experience in a similar environment.

Education requirements:

• You must possess at least a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Computer Application.

Certification requirements:

• CCNP, CCSP, CCIE certification and any related certification to troubleshooting and diagnosis tools will be an added advantage.

Special requirements:

• Should have a driving license.

• Travel requirements: Currently based in Maadi, but you must be open to relocating or traveling to Sokhna once required.
• Work location and model: Onsite (primarily Maadi, with possible work from Sokhna).
