DAR Engineering, a leading design & engineering consulting organization in Saudi Arabia engaged in Power Generation, Electrical Transmission & Distribution, Health Care & High Rise Buildings

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled translator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience translating technical documents related to engineering, such as Bids, Tenders, and technical documents & contracts. The translator will be responsible for accurately translating documents from "Arabic/English language and vice versa" in a timely manner and quality standards as per the defined policies and procedures to achieve departmental operational plans and developments within wider scope.

Key Accountability Areas

- Translate technical documents related to engineering from Arabic/English language and vice versa.
- Consults with subject matter experts and other colleagues to clarify technical terminology and ensure accuracy of translations.
- Refers to online translation tools for additional assistance with translation.
- Provides translation needed periods based on project length and level of complexity.
- Proofread and edit translated documents as necessary.
- Ensure timely delivery of translated documents.
- Manage translation projects from start to finish.
- Maintain translation memory and terminology databases.

Requirements:

Required Experience and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience translating technical documents related to engineering.
- Knowledge of engineering terminology and concepts.
- Proficiency in translation software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
