About the Role
We are looking for an outstanding, dynamic and inspiring Vice Principal to join one of our Schools.

The successful candidate will play a major role on the Senior Leadership Team in driving forward the whole school; strategically, Academically and operationally.

Consistently instill the school's mission, vision and core values and ensures their implementation in the school's life.

Reports to: The School Principal

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

A. Curriculum, Teaching and Learning
- Help the Principal develop, maintain, and implement academic excellence measures.
- Help the Principal develop, maintain, and implement quality assurance measures.
- Participate in, and monitor curriculum design, scope and sequence, lesson plans and effective teaching strategies in the classroom.
- Participate in, and monitor, student attainment, progress, and Individual Educational Plans.
- Encourage and support development of innovative instructional programs.
- Promote the use of innovative technology in teaching and learning.
- Use multiple sources of data to plan and assess instructional improvement plans.

B. School Culture and Climate
- Creates a teaching and learning climate in which students and adults feel safe, respected, and cared for.
- Assists teachers, students, and parents in addressing concerns in positive, non- confrontational ways; demonstrates cultural sensitivity.
- Promote school events that build a positive school culture.
- Implement school-wide policies and procedures with fairness and consistency.
- Set high expectations and standards for the academic and social development of all students.
- Promote the ethos of the school in all aspects of school life.

C. Communication
- Communicate effectively with students, parents and staff.
- Communicate the community needs to the principal and propose initiatives to meet those needs.
- Encourage community and parent involvement.
- Organize and facilitate parent information sessions and attend all Parent Teacher Conferences.
- Collaborate with the principal to ensure that the website is up to date and current.

D. Personnel Management
- Assist the Principal in interviewing, selecting, and orienting new staff.
- Assist the Principal in following up on staff appraisal.
- Articulate the school vision, mission, and core values.
- Create conditions that enhance the staff's desire and willingness to achieve educational excellence.

E. Administration and Facilities Management
- Supervise all operations in Principal's absence.
- Help Principal plan the daily school activities, class schedules, teacher assignments, substitute teacher coverage, and extracurricular activity schedules.
- Follow up on trackers and logs with the Senior Leadership Team and Middle Leadership Team.
- Assist Principal in orders of supplies, textbooks, and equipment.
- Assist Principal with safety inspections and safety-drill practice activities.
- Assist Principal with coordination of transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services.
- Tie the daily operations of the school to students' learning goals.
- Ensure that resources are used appropriately, and that short-term and long-term goals are being met.
- Assist the principal in creating the school's strategic action plan and monitor progress with the plan.

F. Student Management
- Ensure that students are well-supervised in non-instructional areas.
- Develop and implement a positive student discipline management system that results in positive student behavior.
- Ensure that uniform policy is being implemented.
- Ensure that school rules, routines and procedures are being followed and implemented.

G. Professional Development
- Supervise the professional development of the academic staff by monitoring their needs and planning internal and external professional development activities.
- Conduct regular classroom observations to identify professional development needs.
- Meet weekly with Year Level Teams and follow up on weekly alignment meetings.
- Ensure that staff members are made aware of professional development opportunities and make recommendations regarding on and off campus opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in education or other relevant field with a teaching qualification (Post graduate degree is a must).
- 10 years of educational experience with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior leadership role.
- Experience in American and British Education is a must.
- Fluent Arabic & English speaker.
