Engineering Manager (Civil) – Hong Kong
Our client, a world leader in specialized civil engineering, is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager specialising in Civil Engineering to join a large infrastructure project in Hong Kong. The project is part of a complex highway motorway interchange.
Reporting to the Project Director, the tasks and duties of the Engineering Manager will include, but not be limited to the following:
- The Engineering Manager will manage a team of circa 15 site based engineers and designers overseeing the structural methods, all technical procedures, prefabricated segments and launching deck construction equipment.
- Scheduling and managing resources for the project construction completion
- Liaising with the client
- Creating and achieving production targets by minimising costs, whilst fulfilling the contract requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree qualification in Civil Engineering from an internationally recognised institute. (Master’s qualification and Chartered Civil Engineer status strongly preferred.)
- At least 15 years’ experience in the construction industry, with 8 years as an Engineering Manager on major civils/concrete projects, including specifically:
- Management of large scale infrastructure projects.
- In-situ erection of box segments and pre-stressed concrete structural works (e.g. “T” beams and piles)
- It is essential that the successful candidate has strong engineering skills and a proven ability to think laterally providing technical solutions across all phases of concrete production, casting, pre-stressing and erection.
