Our client is an International Corporation located in Asia, focusing on the development of power infrastructure projects worldwide. Their Middle East Subsidiary has completed and commenced Operation of a Greenfield Gas Fired Power Plant located in Iraq. Our client is seeking to recruit a COUNTRY MANAGER reporting to the Country Director, to oversee and handle the day to day business and operation of the Plant and deliver the Plant’s profitability. The project is designed to deliver base load of 24/7 power to the Port Authority which also has a natural gas supply from a specially built 15 km natural gas pipeline and the project is currently in its first phase of its multi-phase development programme, and will increase capacity in the coming years.The power plant operation will be integrated with a distribution system to support the port industrial zone and surrounding cities.

REQUIREMENTS

The Power Plant Manager and the CFO will report to the Country Manager. Candidates should be well qualified with extensive Energy and Power Plant Business Management and Development experience, preferably within Iraq and/or the Middle East. Candidates should be fluent in English and Arabic language.
