Heavy Equipment Mechanic

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Contract

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety at our location in Ireland.

Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment including bulldozers, excavators, cranes, and other construction machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and develop effective solutions to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify and address potential problems before they escalate.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team and other departments to prioritize and complete repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on heavy equipment to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficient knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and other components commonly found in heavy equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to heavy equipment maintenance and repair would be an advantage.

Salary:
EUR 2,358 to 2,672 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
