JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Charterhouse is working with one of our international clients within the Oil & Gas services sector. Our client is a listed entity and is currently recruiting across its regional finance team, which is based out of Baku, Azerbaijan.
This Finance Manager post will take ownership of all the financial accounting oversight along with the implementation of strong financial & management based reporting tools to introduce a strong analytical and planning focused capability to the accounting & finance discipline. The functional responsibility shall also extend to the development of strong, IFRS based, financial statements to ensure accurate & timely month-end, quarter-end and year-end closure. This undertaking shall be mirrored with the task of an accounting review and “clean-up” to ensure strong transactional processes, charts of accounts and general ledgers. In conjunction, this role shall oversee a team of staff whom are undertaking statutory accounting and Tax based filings. This oversight will require a strong regulatory knowledge and understanding of local compliance. Functionally, this role shall be focused on the consolidation of financial statements & results whilst also assessing ways to refine and develop the budgeting & costing processes; to allow a robust MIS capability across the business.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate should be an experienced financial professional, who can demonstrate at least 7 years of exposure within a corporate finance & reporting based role, within a multi-entity organisation. You should possess strong financial accounting execution within a structure of reporting deadlines and accounts finalization. Coupled with these technical capabilities, candidates shall be expected to manage senior reporting lines, both internally and externally to the organisation. This role will also play a pivotal part with the external auditors, financial institutions and any regulatory authority whilst reporting internally across international jurisdictions. The nature of the organisation means that the client will look to identify candidates from within the Oil & Gas sector or candidates with exposure to project based operations; ensuring an ease of inception. The nature of the market coverage will position bilingual candidates (English/Azerbaijani or Russian) at a distinct advantage.
