JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Charterhouse is working with one of our international clients within the Oil and Gas services sector. Our client is a listed entity and is currently recruiting across its regional finance teams, which are based out of Baku, Azerbaijan.
This Senior Accountant will join the regional team based out of Baku, and shall take ownership of areas of transactional accounting across revenue and expenses with an oversight of accounts payable and receivable operations whilst also overseeing all invoice management and client liaison in this regard. An extension to this transactional accounting shall cover areas of banking and reconciliations to ensure strong account filing and preparatory of financial statements and reports. This role shall also have an oversight of inventory control and CAPEX analysis across the fixed asset register.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate should be a financial professional, who can demonstrate at least 5 years of exposure within a corporate-based accounting and reporting position. In conjunction, the candidates will be required to possess a financial Degree or professional qualification tailored towards accountancy. The client will look for a candidate who can demonstrate strong analytical and strong Excel based skills to allow for financial modelling practices and data analysis in support of financial statement finalization and review. The nature of the organisation means that the client will look to identify candidates from within the Oil and Gas sector or candidates with exposure to project-based operations; ensuring an ease of inception. The nature of the market coverage will position bilingual candidates (English/Azerbaijani or Russian) at a distinct advantage.
