JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Main Job Purpose:

To deliver production quantities in line with the production plan, ensuring quality is in line with specifications, and that manufacturing cost are in line with the annual contract. Moreover, implement WCM, ISO, and improve skills of the work force.

Key Accountabilities:

· Define the key capacity parameters and identify constraints for short and long term production planning. Monitor, discuss and agree to the developed production plan.
· Ensure that product quality meets all specifications. Ensure operator based quality systems are functional to deliver "team certified" production. Also ensure that the required and necessary quality assurance systems are in place.
· Formulate operational technical aspects for equipment (design, selection. And installation). Ensure the technical support team (engineering) is advised on these, and lead the TPM maintenance department actually implementing them.
· Ensure that all activities, for which the PM is responsible, are carried out in accordance with all Unilever corporate safety standards and policies. Also ensure that the required and necessary safety, health and environmental systems are in place.
· Lead implementation (and facilitate the process) of WCM throughout the factory, leading to required awards as per JIPM schedules.
· Implementation (and facilitate the process) of ISO 9000/14000/18000 systems throughout the factory, leading to certification and maintenance of the said systems.
· Coordinate and drive activities of production teams leading to continuous improvement of performance, output and reliability; aiming for world-class operations (cost-reduction, optimised use of assets and resource, and lower wastages).
· Continuously identify and implement plant de-bottle-necking/alterations/replacements to ensure continuous improvement in the production process.
· Coordinate the availability of resources and inputs from other departments and 3 rd parties.
· Continuously strive to reduce the impact on the environment and implement and maintain ISO 14000 standards and procedures, Unilever guidelines and Unilever Standards on environmental issues.
· Develop and enhance team working.
· Identify, encourage and develop leadership subordinate. Ensure Top-down approach by delegating responsibilities to the lowest required level.
· Assess personal capabilities of staff and develop/implement training programs to enhance the skills of all employees.
· To be responsible for maintaining good quality standards and ensuring safe working practices through compliance with the guidelines set up in company quality, health & safety, environment, customer service and consumer safety policies of Unilever.

· Fluent in English and preferable in Arabic.

· Holder of a degree in engineering discipline.

Experience Required:

· Core Engineering Skills - Manufacturing experience utilizing Mechanical and Electrical Engineering skills.
· 0 -3 years of experience.
· A background about Safety and Environment system.
· Good knowledge of WCM concept, production and maintenance.
