JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
This leading western PMC has an urgent requirement for a Chief Safety Expert to work on a major metro program.
* Candidates must be western educated, preferably holding an engineering degree obtained at a highly regarded university.
* Post graduate qualifications such as NVQ & Diploma are also preferable.
* The successful applicant will have 15-20 years' professional experience (5 years on metro projects) and will have a proven track record of safely managing major projects with large multi-national workforce.
General Description
* Review & approve safety management plans
* Maintain, update and where necessary implement HSE policies and procedures
* Co-ordination and supervision of local staff activities
* Supervise construction and manage all safety in accordance with contract documents
* Review of construction specifications and method statements
* Review bid documents
* Lead any incident/accident investigations
* Manage, develop and deliver HSE training for project staff

REQUIREMENTS
* 15-20 years' experience
* 5 years' experience on metro projects
* Engineering degree
* NVQ/Diploma qualified
* Membership of IOSH preferred
* Major international project experience
