JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Job Summary:
A bid writer will be engaged on developing a proposal. The role requires reviewing and editing previously written content where necessary, working with other bid team members to produce written bid responses and presentation collateral in line with deadlines. The role won’t only involve writing content for use in the bid but also presentations and all supporting documentation ensuring a cohesive and consistent approach.

Key Responsibilities / Duties
• The ideal candidate will need to be able to write effective, concise and compelling content while under the pressure sometimes associated with deadlines as in proposals you can see quite often.
• Excellent writing skills, should be able to work with other bid team members to help them give assistance and write, produce materials for particular sections.
• Assist team members and give them the necessary skills and confidence to write and produce materials themselves.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position
• APMP Certified
• Excellent English in both speaking and writing
• Demonstrated experience and thorough understanding of the proposal development process and plan
• Capable of analyzing RFP’s and allocating proposal requirements against the proposal outline
• Great skills in writing, editing and reviewing proposals
• Customer focused, experienced in implementing quality and safety standards
• Ability to analyze, think systematically, exercise sound judgement and effectively deal with demanding situations
• Excellent organization skills and time management skills
• Outstanding presentation and communication skills and excellent report writing skills
• Great interpersonal skills and ability to maintain positive working relationships internally and externally
• Ability to use information and communication technology in a proficient manner including but not limited to standard MS office applications and ERP systems
• Comfortable travelling regularly as part of the job, including to remote and/or crisis ridden areas
