I’m searching for an IFRS expert with strong team management experience for my client based in Oman.

The role reports to the GM Finance.

SALARY: OMR 1500 + housing + car

Responsibilities

• Managing the large financial accounting team, including managers, supervisors and assistant accountants, and reporting to the GM Finance
• Ensuring the finance team is fully up to date with the latest IFRS
• Assuming overall responsibility of financial accounting function covering accounts receivables, accounts payables, cash and bank and stocks and assets
• Overseeing the financial reporting function including review of reports generated for internal stakeholders, periodic financial statements and group reporting deliverables
• Assuming overall responsibility of managing the treasury activities including overseeing the funds’ position, cash flow management and forecasting
• LCs, Bank guarantees, Bonds
• Managing portfolio of financing facilities with banks, negotiating prices and ensuring optimal utilization of available funding options
• Assuming overall responsibility for managing an efficient credit control function, ensuring collections and DSO targets are achieved
• Ensuring accurate and timely recording and completion of period end transactions, and ensuring that deadlines are met for reporting of interim and annual financial results to the stakeholders
• Facilitating the smooth and timely completion of interim and annual audits
• Working closely with the business units to identify their requirements of Finance, driving strong customer service initiatives
• Identifying training needs for the team, exploring development opportunities and planning for succession
• Manage the team by KPIs; and working closely with other functions in Finance, including Management Accounting & Payroll, to deliver a coherent finance customer service.

Salary:
OMR 1,500 to 2,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
