JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Required by a luxury real estate developer in Oman.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead tender planning, compilation and issuance and ensure that all contracts incorporate the terms and conditions that are endorsed by the company
• Lead the contracts negotiation and ensure that the financial aspects and impact of a contract are clear to all parties
• Develop procurement strategies for cost efficiencies and minimize procurement risks
• Manage and monitor the procurement and tender processes to ensure compliance with the established and approved procedures
• Identify successful vendors through reviewing RFQs and RFPs
• Determine, approve and assign vendors based on the approved suppliers methodology
• Resolve contractual and commercial problems and provide commercial support to the Technical Team throughout the contract delivery cycle, advise on variations and commercial considerations of managing projects
• Report on the progress of procurement operations and quantity surveying
• Analyse and report on all risks and costs that might arise due to variation orders relating to SBJ project and their impact
• Provide required commercial support to the Finance department and ensure that all internal stakeholders understand and adhere to contractual obligations accurately
• Lead joint negotiations between procurement department, end users and suppliers to maintain good relations with all involved parties
• Verify contractors claims through comparing contractor report with actual deliverables
• Set and agree individual goals for all direct reports and evaluate individual performance, providing regular feedback and coaching in line with good people management practices
• Approve any third party payments.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors degree in an Engineering field or any other related field
• MBA is preferred
• Professional certificates e.g. PMP
• Knowledge & Experience:
• 8-10 years of experience in the same field and industry

Knowledge & experience of:
• Procurement
• Financial reporting
• Industry know how
