Manager - Safety & Emergency Procedures Flight Ops -Crew Training

- Prepare new issue and revision of all cabin safety manual (OME) in accordance with the Authority rules and regulations to ensure adherence to the Authority’s rules and regulations in coronation with MREC.
- Submit to the MLQP all SEP training records for all types of aircrafts and crew.
- Submit procedural changes proposal on safety matters to SMCT who will proceed for submission to the Authority.
- In-charge of training cabin crew in all categories, ascertain the training needs and provide a long term training plan and carry out all SEP abinitio, experienced cabin crew, refresher and conversion training of cabin crew and SEP training and refreshers of Pilots.
- Produce relevant examination papers and ensure all Cabin Crew trainees are examined and assessed on their performance and assist SMCT for advising the Authority accordingly to ensure continuous development of talent.
- Carry out monthly spot checks on flight and make necessary recommendations for improvement to ensure all safety standards are met and safety risks identified and addressed.
- Liaise with MIS, Commercial, Engineering, Ground Handling and line stations on the quality and maintenance of safety standards on board.
- Complete on board training as and when required and monitor crew performance.
- Attend regular safety and emergency meeting with Authority officials and flight operations and report to SMCT on matters relating to Safety.
- Complete and submit flight inspection reports as per the Authority requirement on a monthly basis and copy to be sent to SMCT.
- Plan and submit all SEP training requirement to crew scheduling section.
- Prior to leasing or purchase of aircraft, inspect and recommend addition or improvements to gallery, Cabin and other safety equipment when requested.
- Prepare SEP Instructors monthly roster to ensure efficient manpower utilization..
- Continuous review of procedures and techniques to ensure their relevance to current airline practice and manufacturers recommendations.
- Coordinate with MLQP for the effective administration and update of license and qualification validity of all cabin crews.
- Maintain a cop of the individual SEP training file for each crew member to include copy of all license, medical and training reports relevant to the Authority and Company performance standards for Cabin Crews SEP to ensure adherence to the Authority regulations.
- Conduct performance appraisal for subordinates and provided guidance as and when required to ensure continuous improvement of talent.
- Fulfil such other duties as may be required by SMCT.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor or equivalent degree in a related discipline with relevant Airline experience of 8 years in CAR /JAR-OPS1 (EU OPS) or FAA part 121 airline of which a minimum 2 years as SEP Instructor experience. OR Specialized certificate / license preferably Cabin Crew License with Secondary School certificate and having 14 years of relevant airline experience of which a minimum 5 years as SEP / First Aid Instructor experience. Master degree in the related discipline will be an advantage.
